Q:
|
Which browsers work
best?
|
|
A:
|
You should have a fairly
recent version of the browser that you're using. We recommend Netscape
4.75 or Internet Explore 5.5 as the minimum browser versions.

Q:
|
The website doesn't
load completely, what should I do?
|
|
A:
|
Click on the "Refresh" or "Reload" button to get the newest version of the web page you are viewing. Each time you visit
a web page, your computer stores as much of the page as it can
to your local hard drive so that the next time you visit the
page it will not have to reload the same items over again. This
has the effect of speeding up your web page load time. Your
computer will look first to your temporary internet
files for a local copy of the page to be loaded. Unfortunately,
these temporary internet files can become damaged or outdated
over time.

language we use to allow our web pages to be interactive, and
display "dynamic" content. |

Q:
|
What are cookies? |
|
A:
|
A cookie is
simply a bit of code that consists of a text-only string that is
entered into the memory of a browser. This string contains the domain,
path, lifetime, and value of a variable that a website sets. If
the lifetime of this variable is longer than the time the user spends
at that site, then this string is saved to file for future reference. |
