Christopher LeClair
Strategic Advisor

Chris LeClair is at the forefront of Canada's consulting community in the field of organizational analysis and strategic planning for not-for-profit organizations and industry associations. Over the last decade, he has worked for over 100 organizations from all across Canada. He has pioneered techniques for organizational benchmarking which have systematically lead to more representative governance, enhanced government relations, effective management and improved member service delivery. Chris is the author of the first comprehensive study of Canadian industry associations, as compared with counterparts in Canada's major trading partner nations. Identifying best practices and service delivery models, this inaugural study represented the starting point for the re-engineering of both structure and service orientation of many of Canada's largest business sectoral organizations. In 1997, he was asked by Industry Canada to update the results of his extensive research, much of which has been embraced by major national industry associations as the basis for organizational reform.

In addition to his consulting work, Chris is a regular speaker at association Annual Meetings and Conferences and is a frequent contributor to Association Magazine. Prior to entering the consulting field, Chris worked for a national association in the area of membership recruitment and government relations. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bishop's University and a Master of Arts in Political Science from McMaster University.
