Collaborative Environment

A collaborative environment is one of the tools the Internet has introduced that is changing the dynamics of how groups work together. There are two related tools within a collaborative environment - they are a threaded chat discussion board and a document sharing area. Any kind of document can be uploaded easily into the document sharing area by anyone with access to this area. The threaded chat area is a method for communication to be conducted easily and visibly between users with a record of that discussion. A collaborative environment can also significantly reduce phone calls, faxes, copier and mailing costs, etc.

LEVERUS designs collaborative environments to be easy to administer and easy to use. Within the association and not-for-profit sector, collaborative environments are often used to faciliate the operations of committees or within an Intranet capacity.
